Home / Entertainment / Are You Thinking Of Making Effective Use Of FFxiv Gil?
Gil
is an essential currency in the game's economy. It can be used to buy
consumables, mounts, housing furniture and decor items; purchase weapons or
Glamour; as well as fund other activities within the game world.
Many
activities that provide ffxiv gil shop are inefficient from an economic point of
view; with the exception of Duty Roulette dungeons which often provide Gil
rewards and exclusive gear. Other supplementary pursuits may also prove viable
such as completing weekly Challenge Logs and raids.
Crafting
Crafting
is one of the primary uses for Gil in this game, alongside purchasing gear and
housing. Players can create items to sell or use for leveling (particularly
guildleves and dungeons). Furthermore, certain crafts produce HQ items which
grant double experience on these encounters and turn-ins.
Gil
is also used in other ways such as the weekly Challenge Log, which awards
players with various hunt currencies, Grand Company Seals, Tomestones from raids
or instances and Beast Tribe Tokens - some of which may be sold directly for
Gil while others can be traded in on the Market Board in exchange for exclusive
items.
Crafters
with high levels can also benefit from being skilled crafters by being able to
fix gear without needing to go visit the Mender NPC, and access Allied Society
content more quickly. There's significant synergy between different crafting
jobs; so considering taking an Omnicrafter route (leveling them all at roughly
equal rates). Furthermore, purchasing dyes will assist with Glamour
customization.
Gathering
Though
buying in-game items is against the terms of service for Final Fantasy XIV,
many players still engage in this practice to obtain equipment, gear and
services faster than they could through regular gameplay alone. Luckily there
are ways of earning ffxiv gil without resorting to third-party sites or
grinding.
Botanist,
Miner, and Fisher jobs of gathering in this game provide materials for
crafting. This may include metal ores for Blacksmiths and Armorers; gems for
Goldsmiths; soils and fossils for Alchemists; as well as
soils/fossils/flora/fauna for Alchemists to synthesize high-quality items on
the market board or use in synthesis to produce them.
Gathering
Jobs work similarly to combat Jobs in that they gain EXP and gear by completing
levequests and other in-game activities like Allied Society turn-ins or weekly
aetheryte hunts, as well as using their abilities to locate nodes across the
open world using Prospect (Miner) or Triangulate (Botanist). Once found, their
integrity decreases with each attempt at gathering. Those at high level
Gatherers may even trigger Gatherer's Boon which increases their odds of
finding item!
Retainer Ventures
Ventures
offer one of the most reliable ways of earning Gil in Final Fantasy XIV,
offering Retainers an opportunity to undertake expeditions that may bring rare
or exclusive items back. Players should ensure their units have all of the
appropriate gear before assigning them on ventures - this will determine the
quality of rewards. Also note that units cannot be assigned to classes higher
than their level limit - choose Gridania (polearms) which has already reached
this limit or below when assigning units.
To
begin their ventures, players can click on any Summoning Bell located within
cities, housing wards and certain endgame hubs as well as Grand Company hubs. A
window will then appear allowing players to select what kind of venture they
wish to run; quick exploration ventures tend to provide better experience gains
while providing retainers the chance at procuring special items like minions.
Beast Tribe Quests
Final
Fantasy XIV's Beast Tribe quests provide another excellent way to spend your f14
gil. Originally called Tribal Quests, these adventures were revamped in
Heavensward before further refining them for Stormblood as repeatable daily
tasks.
When
completed successfully, Beast Tribe quests award players with experience
points, Gil, and Allagan tomestones. Furthermore, these quests help players
build up their reputation with that tribe; when this reaches certain thresholds
they may undertake special quests that provide further insights into its
culture.
All
four Beast Tribes in the game can be earned reputation with, though two (Vanu
Vanu and Vath) specialize in crafting and gathering classes while Ehcatl Nine
provides more of a battle experience. Each tribe provides different rewards -
unique items to summon minion summons or orchestrion rolls! Plus there are
vendors selling goods suitable for every class!
